What a fab night and an amazing opportunity to photograph the legendary ex-Spice Girl – Mel C.

SINGER Melanie C was among the famous faces at a special concert to celebrate the end of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’s 20th anniversary year.

The ex-Spice Girl joined world famous composer Carl Davis and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra last night.

Holby City star Mark Moraghan and Garry Christian, former lead singer of The Christians, also took to the stage at the Philharmonic Hall.

The evening was hosted by actress Jean Boht, best known as Nellie Boswell in Bread, as the orchestra and guests performed songs from the world of music, stage and screen.

Melanie, who sang Easy Terms from Blood Brothers, said: “To perform in your home town with an orchestra as wonderful as the RLPO – how could I say no?”
